History of
Simcoe Lodge No.79 G.R.C.

The Lodge was instituted on September 10th, 1857 at which time Worshipful Brother J. W. H. Wilson became its first Worshipful Master.

A fire resulted in the loss of all the Lodge furniture, Lodge Records and Regalia. The remaons of the original Charter was the only item salvagable and is on display in the Temple building.

The replacement Charter issued by Grand Lodge is also displayed next to the original.

Simcoe Lodge No. 79 G.R.C. celebrated its 150the Anniversary in 2007.

This Lodge owns and meets in the Bradford Masonic Temple and perhaps one of the most unusual displays to be found in a Masonic Temple in Canada is located here. It takes a place of honour on the "North - East" angle of the Bradford Masonic Temple.
