Mississauga Masonic Lodge #524 was constituted in Port Credit, Ontario in 1914 by twenty-two Freemasons who felt the need for a meeting place in their growing community, for the world wide Masonic fraternity.

Lodge meets in an historic landmark building at the corner of Peter
and Port streets, a converted church built in 1838 by the Indians
and pioneers.
Its
membership has been made up of men from walks of life, including
magistrates, police, clergymen, lawyers, teachers, businessmen,
tradesmen and many, many others. Its ranks include members from
countries around the world. Regular meetings are held at 7:30 pm
sharp, on the second Thursday of each month, summer excluded.
